Just moved into the Putallup area and needed Filipino food so I took a chance and went to Mare Sol....it did not disappoint. When you do not want to cook and you need comfort food this is a place for you to goto!

I'm visiting from Cali and was missing Filipino food so my friends and I thought we'd give this place a try. The food wasn't that good, portions were small, and the guy at the cashier wasn't friendly. Like I get that there was a line, but ordering food shouldn't be as stressful as he made me feel.

The one of the best authentic Filipino food in Pierce County! When you enter here, you automatically feel at home. The aroma is great, food is good, and the employees are friendly! They've really been commited to their business since 1999!

This place always reminds me of my Lolang's cooking and is now home away from home. For those of you complaining about portions, wow! They give good sized portions, anyone can see that from all the pictures shared here! Thank you to Roger & wife who always are friendly, with great big smiles & remember my name.

Great selection. Everything is yummy

Friendly and decently priced. Almost reminds me of some the food I ate at my filipino friends house when I lived in Kitsap county. I will have to give a negative on the Shanghai lumpia, it was sorta bland. I'll be back for the pork Adobe and the friendly service.

Interesting food. Dropped it a star only because the interior could be improved. New chairs, tables that don't wobble, also would be nice to have larger dinning area. Overall food is good whish is the important part.

I tried this place on Tuesday and it is Friday and I am back again. Missed good Filipino food. The owners are awesome. Really nice each time I have been there. Going to be going more now that I found this place. The portions are large and everything I have had has been perfect. There are specials on different days so check and see what is new.

Many choices of traditional Filipino food. In love their snackies and desserts as well. Try their halo-halo (they start to serve it around March). I also love thei siopao (you must call first if they sell them on the day you want to stop by). Wish they had a branch to southern part of the state.

I come here when I need a "homesick cure"...that's what my Grandma called it. I especially come for the Dinuguan and Pinakbet which they prepare well. The food is in trays, which is usual for Filipino restaurants...but it's particularly fresh here!Make sure to ask about Siopao, Lumpia and Halo Halo as they usually have them but you may not see them or a sign. The man who runs the front is super nice and if you come in a couple times, he'll know you. They also have a tiny market with essentials like patis, Filipino soy sauce and vinegar, dried mango, etc.Super clean and easy parking.

Friendly service. At 3pm the place was still doing some decent lunch business. Many of the patrons were clearly frequent customers. If you've never had Filipino food, you might be worried by the cafeteria-style presentation, but don't be fooled! The food is good and fresh. I had beef mechado, cooked much like a beef stew. The beef was very tender and the sauce was light, going well with the pancit noodle. Some rice would have been very tasty, absorbing the sauce, but I'm on a diet 😄! Well, right after I eat these sweets...

Terrific food and friendly servers! Thank you.
